It has been the honour of my life to serve as your Member of Parliament for Eastleigh since December 2019. Since that time, the country has weathered an immense array of storms and disruptions, from COVID-19 to conflict in Ukraine, to inflation to chronic political instability. While I cannot say that everything has gone according to plan, I am proud of what I have been able to deliver for constituents across our towns and villages, and we have had some big wins we should celebrate.

 

 

 

  • Hedge End Station Upgrade

    I am delighted that we have finally got the green light for a share of a £350 million fund for rail accessibility for Hedge End and Swanwick Stations.

  • M27 Resurfacing Project

    The resurfacing of the M27 is continuing at pace, and I am grateful to government ministers who heard and responded to my requests for funding for this project. As a result, we have this project secured, and fully funded, and it is now being delivered.

  • Southampton Freeport

    Delivering the multi-million pound Solent Freeport, creating 31,000 jobs, many of which are across Hamble Valley.

  • Stopping The Hamble Quarry Development

    Paul successfully campaigned alongside local residents against the planned gravel quarry on Hamble Airfield, which would have caused huge problems with traffic, increased air pollution, and destroyed a valued community green space.  The application was rejected after four years of dedicated ca
