A few weeks ago I visited Swanwick Station with representatives from South Western Railway and Network Rail about the promised new lifts and accessibility projects we won for Swanwick and Hedge End stations.
The project and design work is well underway and the good news is that despite the new government making it more difficult, all councils are committed to helping the project. So we should have new lifts if all goes well by late 2027.
I also remarked that Swanwick needed repainting, that will be programmed in.
