It was great to visit Saab UK at their Fareham campus in our constituency
During my visit, I toured the state of the art radar manufacturing and underwater robotics facilities, gaining first hand insight into the advanced capabilities being developed and manufactured on site.
The visit was particularly meaningful as I was hosted by two apprentices, Edan and Kallum. Having recently been welcomed to Parliament by me this provided a great opportunity for them to return the favour and showcase their work and experiences at Saab.
Saab UK’s Fareham campus was officially opened on 4 February 2025, marking a significant expansion of their manufacturing and engineering footprint in the UK. The three building, state of the art facility represents the completion of an investment announced in 2023.
The campus underlines Saab’s long term commitment to the UK defence sector and is designed to support both domestic and international customers, while strengthening sovereign UK industrial capability in key defence technologies.
