I am delighted that the planning application for the significant expansion of the Silverlake site between Shedfield and Curdridge was refused yesterday (18th March 2026) by Hampshire County Council. I objected strongly to it as it is completely out of keeping with the rural location and would have huge impacts on the community and the environment. While I was unfortunately unable to attend today's committee session in person due to Parliamentary duties, I sent a representative to make a deputation on my behalf, alongside local residents, councillors, and business owners. This is the right decision for the area!
